In my specific case i will be needing a 78 long shelf that goes from wall to wall. These floating wall shelves are perfect. The part that i call the base is the inside of the shelf. For this diy floating shelf project i m using stock boards from the home center a miter saw to cut them to length and a drill driver to assemble the pieces with screws and wood glue.
