Start the detangling and dematting process by applying detangler shine to areas of the coat that are matted or tangled.
Freeing your dog of matted hair is not a hard thing to do especially when done early enough.
This is because the hair mats often lie close to the dog s skin.
Water acts as a sponge and only makes them tighter.
Work from the outside of the mat where the hair isn t tangled and slowly untangle the hair without pulling.
For severely matted fur however it becomes an entirely different case.
